Our Journey

Our story begins not with a product, but with a monumental challenge: how to securely verify identity on an unprecedented scale.

Our founders, Bruce and Yash, helped implement the world’s largest and most complex identity programs, including India’s Aadhaar (UIDAI) and Indonesia’s eKTP, which successfully enrolled over one billion people. Recognizing the universal need for trusted and accessible identity verification, they founded Credence ID in Oakland, California in 2012.

Our mission was clear: to build the world's most reliable mobile identity solutions, making secure verification possible anywhere. We first proved our expertise in biometrics, deploying over 70,000 identity devices worldwide.

Seeing the future of identity was mobile, we channeled that pioneering spirit and technical knowledge into creating the industry's most comprehensive and trusted acceptance network for mobile IDs.
